intuition in its relationship to the unconscious and to the psychoanalytic act
Thesis resume
This research explores the relationship between intuition, the unconscious and the psychoanalytic act, drawing on an approach that lies at the intersection of philosophy, psychopathology and psychoanalysis. The main hypothesis of this research is that intuition is the effect of an encounter with the « Real » that passes through the imaginary and awaits symbolization or elaboration, leading to a discovery, a « know how » regarding the elusive. It's by drawing on Lacan's « logical time » that this orientation will be elucidated. The case of « President Schreber » will be central in this demonstration. Our approach will also address the way in which clinical intuition can play a significant role in a psychoanalytic cure. It will show that it is from a position orientated toward the « Real » that intuition can be efficient in the psychoanalytic act.
